  • Hey everybody,

Hows life? It had been a while since I blog tho. Was abit lazy due to the UTP slow connection.

Well, few days ago, Isaac and I went to the UTP pond for jogging, feeding fish, and watching sunset. It was a really wonderful time as we get to see and appreciate the wonderful sunset view that our God has created. Personally, sunset is the best time of thet day. It is the nicest view in a day. Anyway, Isaac and I, wanted to go to the pond to feed the fish but we don't have any leftover bread, so we decided to buy a loaf of bread (RM2) just to feed the fish. See how crazy and desperate we are!!! RM2 doesn't seems a lot when we were having fun feeding the fishes. These fishes were fighting over for the bread as though they had never eaten for a couple of years. Here are a couple of pics which was really awesome. I can't stop looking it again and again.

These are the hungry fishes. There were too many fish fighting for 1 little piece of bread till some of the fish basically ended up above the water.

When the sun is about to set...

    Another sunset pics.. lalala

Personally, this is the nicest... the trees, stool and the reflection of the pond was superb. Huhu..

Another pics from the edge of the pond..

    Nice le..

The sun set dy. Still look nice..

Actually alot more laa... hehe.. these are the few nice ones.. Wonderful creation. This is a wonderful song from Chris Tomlin...

    Indescribable

    Verse 1:

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea

    Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of Spring
Every creature unique in the Song that it sings
    All exclaiming

    Chorus:

    Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name.
    You are amazing God!
    All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
    You are amazing God

    Verse 2:

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gave source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
    None can fathom

  • A musician..

    Hey everybody,

It was a wonderful and indeed memorable weekend though quite tiring. It's like I'm a full time musician for a week. Er.. not exactly a week. Since Tuesday afternoon. :p Every morning I will have to wake up early, not for class, but for keroncong practice in the Chancellor hall. Then in the night for Virtuoso group in the main hall. Though the practice sometimes seems to be wasting a lot of time where we have to wait for our turns to play our songs, but it was indeed fun. With all these, I manage to meet people with various talented regardless of their voice, their music skills and dancing skills. Well, looking at myself, I'm already in final year which means this is the last time I'm going to perform for convocation. I had been involve in convo very since I enter UTP. 1st three years in choir. Last two in keroncong and Virtuoso band. Man.. I gonna really miss all these. It makes me wonder will I have such fun again after graduation in my working life. Hmm...

2 weeks before this, I was wondering if I should join this Virtuoso team as our Rector has rejected all the songs which the previous Virtuoso team had practiced for. I wasn't in that first team as I wasn't back a week before the sem starts. (prefer to be at home :p )So, cikgu was quite pissed as the songs (in line with the theme for that night: jazz) were previously approved by the hi-com but now rejected. He had put so much effort in it and now he have to start all over again. So since he have to start all over again, he ask me to join to help him up. I felt so sorry for him so I sign up to help him up. It was really great seeing how everybody pick up so fast and on the real day itself, it sounded we had already practice for a long time. Lol. We had variety of songs. We had french songs, chinese, indian (first time playing indian songs :p), english oldies and of course malay oldies. All sounded very nice.

For the keroncong, after all this practices and all, well I think I did improve quite alot in my violin skills. Lol. Though the songs that we played were indeed quite easy. Grade 2 or 3 standard I think, but looking at how my teamates play and with some exposure in the "violin world", I've learned how to play nicer and also play with more confident. Besides that, my vibrato (shaking hand) got slight break through dy... :p Thank God for that. I manage to photocopy a few songs from a friend and I think I'm gonna practice those songs and continue improving my violin. Its indeed a fun instrument to learn. Wish me luck.. :p

Kla, I think I write too much. Here are some pictures...

This is our teacher (a really talented guy) and our Virtuoso band members. From the left, Deze (dono his proper name :p), Jep, me and Dak

The VIP table. Got Tun Mahathir, our PETRONAS president and Rector. Check out the ammount of audience during convo dinner

    Another view of the audience

This is how our Virtuoso team looks like on stage. We have 4 violinist, 2 keyboardist (I'm one of them), drummer, 2 side instrument, bass, electric guitarist and classical guitarist.

Me taking with our female singers after the convo dinner ends.. :p

My all time favourite drummer, Lula...  The way he play just so relaxing and nice though cikgu said he isn't hard enough. Well, if I'm as good as him, I'm glad dy..

From left, Foo Piew and Dak.. Both geng.. The way Dak play his clean guitar and his solo really impressing. It really blends well with the band and hooh.. great.. Just great.. Haha..

The main player for the Virtuoso band. Deze the bassist. His timing, his slap skill really nice. I did ask him to teach me how to slap the bass, well, of course still cant beat the sifu.. Geng...

The international dancers and me. Nice and unique performance by them. The movement they did and the way they clap their hands and feet, really nice.

Qi Hua and me. I want to dedicate this pics to her. I was so shock to hear that she had been reading my blog all this while. Guess what, she graduated and now working in Kerteh. The place I stay... Huhu.. But I'm moving back to Sarawak the end of this year liao... So maybe can meet you up in that few days while I'm in Kerteh before moving back to Sarawak. Hehe..

After our convo dinner performance, we had fellowship and sort of small celebration as all our hard work ends that night. This was the reason make me cant wake up the next day.. Shhhh.... :p

This is our keroncong team. Where we perform for the proper convocation.

Dang, our church senior. She just graduated. Now working in Brunei liao.. From left: Me, John, Dang, Melissa, Elvina..

Zeta, also our church senior who just grad.

  • Most memorable Saturday~~

    Hey everybody,

The previous Saturday, something really great just struck my life and it really pull my life and emotions straight down to the earth. I had never felt that way before as I guess its kind of the first time having such feeling. It distracted me from studying and focusing on what I’m supposed to do such as song leading on Sunday.

I gave myself a break by joining my friends playing badminton that Saturday just to get out of that feeling. Badminton was fun. Play till “peng”. Then we watch Lee Chong Wei win the Korean. (But then loose the Lin Dan in the finals.. what the..)  Lol. It really did help. I am not going to mention here what is that thing about but I really want to thank God what had happen. I believe all is from God. I believe He is molding me to be a better person and He knows I can bear with it as God wouldn't put me into trials which is beyond that I can bear.

I was really touch by 2 of my friends. That Saturday night, I was busy going to practice for convo this coming weekend. So, I didn't manage to go to our church daily prayer meet. After my practice before entering the room, I met Aaron, Kelvin and Gabriel. My best friends in UTP. And Kelvin and Aaron ask for fellowship but Gabriel don't want. So, I just spend a few moments with Gabriel before joining Kelvin and Aaron. Before this during practice, I was indeed shocked when I receive a sms from him during practice.

    How are you? How's everything?

He seldom write this in sms. He does that only during our chatting in gtalk. But I didn't reply him though. Busy practicing. :p Then Gabriel told me that God spoke to Him. God gave him a burden to pray for me during the prayer meet. And he shared with me what he felt during the prayer meet and he said he wants to pray for me. After that, I was really so touch by how God had bless me with friends like this.

Another friend was Elvina. Well, after prayer meet last night (Sunday), I need to study so I rush back to study as I will be having a quiz on Monday and a test on Tuesday. But that thought keep appearing and disturbing. Then Elvina pm me to ask for a song which I chose for the sunday service. "Sampai". After that, I ask if she were free. I just want to talk to somebody so I wouldn't keep thinking about those stuff.

We had a long chat. Well, I known her for almost 5 years, but I never talk to her like this before. We share all our struggles and she told me how she struggled and still struggling in her everyday life. She told me to trust God like how she trusted God. She broke down so many times and yet she still stands up because she believe God is molding her and if God is on our side, who can be against us. Like out pastor shared during sunday, \

"persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed"

After that, I see my problem seems to fade off because I have a sister in Christ who is struggling together with me but (she) is undergoing something which is much more serious and bigger than I do. And I believe that God will guide me through all this.

Anyways, thats it for my emo.. Lol.. Yah.. this sem will be the most dangerous sem. Lol. As I will be taking an extra subject compare to my coursemate because of my poor result two years back. And I am having different class than many of my previous coursemate as we are doing different major. Well, I just commit everything to God. May him mold me and teach me. God bless my blog readers.. :p

  • prayer walk

    Hey everybody,

Yesterday (2/8/08) was indeed a memorable day. Our church in UTP, organized a prayer walk. Everybody is invited and we must be at our V5 hut by 630am. What we did was we gather together there and start walking to each village (hostel) to pray for it. We prayed for peace, protection, blessings, salvation for the few hostel (people living there of course :p ) that we passed through. We also did pray for the pathway, stairs for protection and blessings. Haha. We didn't manage to pray for 2 other village (V1 and V6) as they were just too far and the sky was bright already. Here are some pics.
